P Pod Postural Support System – the revolutionary bean seat support system – now available in Australia!
The P Pod looks like a bean bag chair – but it’s so much more! This innovative product was designed to allow children and young adults with special seating needs to interact with their families in a fun and engaging way – whilst still offering substantial postural support.
The “P” in P Pod stands for “postural support” – and the postural support technology from SOS is an integral part of this design.
Offering a 3-tiered postural support structure – the P Pod comprises of the following:
1. Bean Bag Base – The bean base is the base to which the seat is attached. Heavy duty Velcro is used to secure everything in place. The seating position can be adjusted by re-positioning the Velcro. The base is made from a hard wearing material and like a normal beanbag it is lightweight and easy to move around.
2. Bolster – The moulded seat pod is supported by a simple bolster which improves stability when the seat pod is in use. This additional seat support allows the client’s sitting position to be altered so it can be more upright or more relaxed if required. The bolster ensures that any movement the client makes does not affect the chosen seating position.
3. The “P” Positioning Pod – A heat treated foam liner encompasses the seating area, and provides both optimal comfort and support. The quilted padded cover – available in a range of vibrant and playful colours – Seahorse Green, Pool Blue, and Starfish Red – finishes off the Pod. These covers are easily removed for washing

Tray Options;
2 types of trays are available – Freestanding height adjustable tray, or the compact bean bag lap tray. Both tray options are designed to encourage engagement in play and activities, while using the P Pod – making the P Pod super versatile!
The Activity Frame;
The Activity Frame offers a place to hang toys for play therapy. It folds flat for storage!
The Foot Bolster;
The foot bolster attaches to the base of the P Pod and is height adjustable to fully support the client’s feet. It assists in the client feeling more grounded in the P Pod
Lateral Supports;
Can be added to increase postural support as required.
Mobile Base;
To assist with the use of large P Pods there is a mobile base available that allows the P Pod to be easily moved around indoors. It comes with cushioned handles, and locking front castors.
